Leia Time Shifting Does Respect Backend Pause Buffer Setting

I'm running nextPVR ( Version 4.2.5 (191.14) ) on my backend server on a Windows 10 computer. I'm running the nextPVR addon on both Kodi Krypton (Version 2.4.13.1) and Kodi Leia (Version 3.3.15.4) so I can watch live TV. In order to make it possible to time shift greater than 20 minutes, I changed the Pause Buffer setting (slipseconds) on the back end server to 7200 seconds.

Under Kodi Krypton, I can time shift up to 2 hours when watching live TV. However under Kodi Leia, the ability to time shift disappears completely after approximately 40 minutes.
Is there a way to get the Leia nextPVR addon to respect the backend pause buffer time like Kodi Krypton does?

K L and M all use different methods of timeshifting

IMO Leia is more stable with Extended Timeshift mode over Timeshift. I've never heard specific problems related to time in either timeshift mode but if you are testing with short children's shows then maybe short times are possible in Extended Mode, I don't think EPG Mode on the server respects the registry setting. After changing the registry you do need to restart both Kodi and NextPVR to get the changes.

NextPVR V5 timeshifting with Matrix quite good and should respect the 7200 seconds with web configuration. There is a Leia version on this sub forum that should work will with NextPVR V5 too and I am hoping sub & I can get that it into v18.6

I understand what you're saying.
The RPi running Leia is configured to use the Extended TimeShift mode.
In my case I've been slow to switch to Leia because I'm running on a Raspberry Pi (LibreElec) and have been encountering performance issues relative to what I'm used to with Krypton. The backend server has been running well with Krypton but when I boot the RPi to run Leia, the operating experience is disappointing relative to Krypton. Actually, I've got 3 RPis running on my network and only one running Leia is the problem child.

I am surprised most users here use LE w v18 although I think LiveTV (never a strong point for the RPi) is not the priority for many NextPVR regulars. In theory the v17 implmentation of timeshift does not meet Kodi spec, I am glad it works for you.

I am also happy to look at your Kodi debug v18 logs though Extended Timeshift works for me for many hours without any issues if you can duplicate the problem with it closing after 40 minutes.

That is only the client log and it doesn't show much indicating that playback stopped but I do see that the station you are watching doesn't have EPG data so Extended Timeshift is not really being used.

This backend log file was created by the nextPVR settings dialog.
I've tried attaching the backend log files as a zip. I see it uploading but it doesn't create an attachment like it did with the Kodi log zip file. What makes this process frustrating is that no error messages indicating why there is a problem is being displayed.

How big is the zip file? Perhaps it is too large to be atached so you might need to put it on onedrive google drive etc.

Do you have an EPG with this channel? If so I don't know why NextPVR isn't sending the program name. Perhaps you need to turn on EPG mode in NextPVR?

The backend server works perfectly for my kodi clients running krypton.

Ok, so you still haven't answered my question about the missing EPG data,

Can you give me an idea of what is happening when you say timeshift is disappearing? That last log showed a roll at just over 40 minutes.

I am going to ignore your comments about krypton because that protocol is no longer supported.
