Leia Time Shifting Does Respect Backend Pause Buffer Setting

I'm satisfied with Timebase mode on the backend and don't feel any need to change to EPG mode at this time. But the fact that running Kodi Leia on Windows did not result in losing the ability to timeshift was significant to me. It's only happening on the PI.
How can I isolate what is causing the problem on the Raspberry Pi?
Are their any log settings that will give you better information for diagnosing the problem?
