That's not going to work - it's only for using self contained dlls. These softcam dlls depend on lots of Windows libraries, and create windows, and tray icons etc. They pretty much need Windows to be available, so that stuff isn't going to work.

In reality SoftCam stuff is just done a different way on Linux, using libdvbcsa/newcamd/cs378x etc, and any Linux implementation would pretty much need to go down that path

AFAIK, Acamd only calls FFDECSA, it creates a tray icon but you really don't need that. Alternatively you could use Wine64 to get it done properly.

Guys,

where can i find the settings for multidec? In v4 it used to be an option in the properties of a satellite card, but in v5 I don't see this setting anywhere.
Maybe I'm looking at the wrong place - can someone please advise me?

Thank you in advance,
Martin

Not available in v5, you'd have to do it with some SAT>IP server as a proxy.

And your answer is relevant to the current version/build od NextPVR v5, with future plans to support multideck in later versions, or does it mean that multideck as such will never be in version 5?

I am undecided if I will add any native support for multidec in v5 at this stage.

The biggest issue is that I no longer have any way to test it. I have no encrypted signals that can be accessed this way. My cable company used to use Irdeto, and I had smartcard I could use for testing. They moved away from that, and now use an IPTV system. If I do decide to add support for it in the future, some kind European user is going to need to give me access to a remote machine for my testing.
