I have just installed NextPVR 5.0.1.200103 on Linux after using version 4 on Windows for some time.
With Windows I have used three dvb-t USB tuners Realtek RTL2832U, Afatech AF9033 and TechnoTrend TT-connect CT2-4650 CI. TT-connect with CI interface and card. All three worked fine.
With NextPVR 5 on Linux, three Divices are detected, but TechnoTrend is marked as unavaliable. Screenshot.

The Linux kernel does not include the driver for TechnoTrend, but I added it using media_build, the tuner is apparently correctly registered. Output from dmesg

nrecord.log from NextPVR

Does anyone have a good idea on how to make TechnoTrend TT-connect CT2-4650 work with NextPVR 5 ?

It doesn't look like the drivers are currently functioning. These are the devices nextpvr sees:

Code:
<devices>
  <device>
    <name>adapter1 (Silicon Labs Si2168)</name>
    <type>DVB-T</type>
    <filter>adapter1</filter>
    <instance>1</instance>
    <resource>adapter1</resource>
  </device>
  <device>
    <name>adapter1 (Silicon Labs Si2168)</name>
    <type>DVB-C</type>
    <filter>adapter1</filter>
    <instance>1</instance>
    <resource>adapter1</resource>
  </device>
  <device>
    <name>adapter0 (Afatech AF9033 (DVB-T))</name>
    <type>DVB-T</type>
    <filter>adapter0</filter>
    <instance>1</instance>
    <resource>adapter0</resource>
  </device>
  <device>
    <name>adapter0 (Afatech AF9033 (DVB-T))</name>
    <type>DVB-C</type>
    <filter>adapter0</filter>
    <instance>1</instance>
    <resource>adapter0</resource>
  </device>
</devices>

To check the device is functioning, can you use standard utilities like dvbv5-scan on that 3rd device that NextPVR doesn't see?

Just to be clear though - even if it NextPVR did see it, it wont be able to use the CI interface on this device. I know longer have access to CI test signals, so it's free to air content only.

It looks like the TechnoTrned device is being found as Silicon Labs Si2168.

The Realtek is probably the issue if you installed without setting udev-rules that allow 666 access for it. I posted a workout here https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid528653

All of you - Quick feedback, much appreciated

Silicon Labs Si2168 is the ic in TechnoTrend TT-connect CT2-4650 CI, I think registration is ok.

I think the problem is here
It may not be a problem for this forum, but still if someone has a good idea.

[  70.864281] usb 1-2.4: DVB: registering adapter 0 frontend 0 (Realtek RTL2832 (DVB-T))...
end then
[  70.981342] usb 1-2.3: DVB: registering adapter 0 frontend 0 (Afatech AF9033 (DVB-T))...

registration of
Realtek RTL2832 (DVB-T is overwritten with registration of Afatech AF9033 (DVB-T ???
I expected TechnoTrend TT-connect CT2-4650 to be the problem, my mistake.
Full dmesg

If I boot with all three usb tuners connected, I see three devices in NextPVR, but if they first connect after boot I only see two.
In both cases, there are only two entries in /dev/dvb/ The problem is not reading access

@sub, I have a TechnoTrend TT-connect CT2-4650 CI with proper decryption with NextPVR v4, can i be of any help in testing that feature on v5?
regarding scan frequencies in dk-all, Boxer in Denmark has frequencies from 474 MHz to 778 MHz.

If you restart the service are things ok?  It is possible NextPVR is starting  usb is initialized.
