Unable to connet to the remote server

After installing the latest version (209) and it won't connect unless I manually run NextPVRServer.exe which of course, keeps a window open.  I did nothing different than I did when I ran 208.
However, I'm sure it's something stupid I did.

You are running from C:\Program Files\NextPVR\ is that where your service is pointing?

Yes and it does work when I do that but is the server window supposed to stay open? It only works while open. Closing the window stops the server.
Was I supposed to do anything before running 209? I didn't stop anything, it just ran like 208.

When your right click the NextPVR Service from the Windows Service what is the path to executatble?

C:\Users\pcost\Desktop\NPVR\NextPVRService.exe
Hmmm, before I used the executable installer, I would unzip the NPVR v5 folder to the desktop so I guess that's where it's looking for it and there is no folder there anymore.
I probably should run a complete uninstall and start over again.

I would run delete HLKM\Software\NPVR

and run

sc delete "NextPVR service"

and then install if you are using the Windows installer.

Thanks, I did that but the same thing happens. Only service shown in Windows services is the same old one pointing to the desktop. I did disable it with no luck.
I have to go out and won't be coming back until very late so I'll mess with this tomorrow. For now I can manually start it and it will record fine.
