Just installed the new version for Docker.  A couple of things that grabbed my eye in the feature list in the release announcement are:

> Bumped maximum pre/post-padding up to 2 hours in web app when scheduling recording

> Fixed an issue with updatingt recurring recording parameters in web app

However, both of these things still behave the old way.  The padding settings top out at 60, and I still don't seem to be able to change advanced rules for existing recurring recordings (at least, I'm guessing that's what the second fix refers to).

Not trying to be a crank here - I can certainly get by just fine without the changes.  Just thought I'd mention it, because it sounds like they're intended to be there (I verified that my settings page gives the version as 5.0.1.200209).

Thanks,
Doug

I’m with Martin thinking it’s probably cached versions of the pages in your browser. Try forcing a refresh, or clear the cache.

There is a slight nuance, a manual recording still only can have 60 minutes of padding, but it is a manual recording after all so just change the times.

Just tried Ctl-F5 - not seeing any difference.  I do see some other changes (and did last night) - I see the version number change, and I'm seeing the Paypal donation button, for example.  But no change on the two features I mentioned.

The version number and Paypal are only indication that one or two things are not cached. There are over 60 components to the web page and any of those could be cached.

Guide based are 120 but Manual recordings are still 60 which makes sense because padding on manual recording is arbitrary any, just change the end time.

You can confirm the 120 by loading http://ip:8866/components/advanced-record-modal.js and looking for <= 120

What part of the advanced rule are you trying to change? Maybe there is a specific item that was updated.

Are you creating this recording from the TV Guide page, or the Scheduler page?

OK, I tried a few more things:

1) I went into the settings (Tools => Options) in Firefox and cleared my cache
2) Different web browser (Chrome on my iPad), which I had never previously used to access the NextPVR web interface. This should completely rule out caching issues.
3) I've been managing my containers through the Docker GUI on my NAS. Last night, I downloaded the new image, stopped the existing container, clicked "clear", and did a restart. So I was thinking that maybe this wasn't quite the same as a fresh installation. But I just tried a fresh install of the new image.

Still no change. I can "edit" an existing advanced rule in the "recurring" section, but the changes don't get saved (so the same behavior as before). And again in the "recurring" section, post-padding maxes out at 60 minutes - whether it's to edit an existing rule, or create a new one.

From the Scheduler page, in the Recurring section.  I do see now that I can in fact set post-padding up to 120 if I do it from the TV Guide page.  But there are several reasons for wanting to be able to do this in the recurring section as well.

Are your advanced rules also manual recordings? As I posted those are 60 minutes.
