NextEnd v5 trial release

You will need to continue to follow the instructions in post#1 .Running NextEnd.exe from the Plugins/NextEnd will only be supported if dotnet is installed. Now that there is a real installer and NextPVR has a home in C:\Program Files\NextPVR I will be able to create a Window installer to make this easier.

Note I will shutting down my NextEnd sports server this week so when you update to the stable release you might you might as well comment out the calls to NextEnd in your scripts.

It will give me a chance to upgrade the server hopefully I will remember how to install it.

Well, I guess if you're gonna temporarily shutdown a server that deals with live sports, this is the time to do it.

It seems NASCAR is starting up this weekend so I have reset things and the Darlington 400 should be monitored. It will certainly be a new experience to have live sports with no spectators.

Yes, definitely a new experience. At least there will be the TV announcers there. I vaguely remember years ago an experiment in a NFL game with no commentary for a short time. I think it was pretty much unanimous that it was better with the commentators

I used to have a big ugly dish, and could get some NFL feeds which was great to watch most any game. Many didn't have commercials and it was fun to the see the unscripted announcers during the breaks.

Guys, I was wrong the current NextEnd won't work as is, since it is now called the NASCAR Cup Series.   The file in post #1 should handle the change,

Hi Martin,

I got my Windows setup working, NextEnd worked as expected monitoring the NASCAR Cup race today

I could not get my Linux setup going though. I get errors when NExtPVR starts. I am running MX-Linux (debian 10). Can't figure out what's wrong. It's definitely not happy about something.

I see shit in your log seriously. I will have to log where that comes in. You weren't recording on Linux so were you just seeing what the monitor would do?
