If you didn't upgrade by copying with the method I posted the channel id that you use will almost definitely be wrong so not much point in going on.

Having both recording different shows does sound wrong, especially because it makes v5 feel far more difficult than it is

However  if your v4 database has everything imported from v5 you can still trash you v5 files and get new recording following the linked step, but you might lose rules that were only in v5.

Here is the batch file I assume you will run it on localhost.

Thanks for that Martin,

OK I ran the batch file and it seemed to give me 12# shows vs 44# that were in the batch file?
I am not sure how it selected them?
It also seems to have put "0" between text, is this the expected outcome please?

Did you follow the update and use your older npvr.db3 first? I see these are all all channels queries with the channel id not matching

But that is no good, I will have to look at it again, you probably have to run it as python.

I thought I did yes, sorry.
I have down so many uninstalls and reinstalls today.
I have now uninstalled v4 and am completely on v5.

Earlier in the thread I posted that you needed to clean up some stale shows. Now after looking that the database the vast major of your rules are against stations changed since you added the rule and will never find a match. Only two TVB Pearl rules will match 39 will never match

I'll try and fix the script up, and if you want I can change them to work from any but are you sure you want "The Mentalist" reruns to start showing up.

Use this replacement database it has a few of your rules that could convert and I fixed the HDPVR tuning setting to point to HDPVR-data

Let me know if there was specific rule that you had working before that is missing now.

Hi Martin,

Grand job on the db, thank you, that list is fine. I hadn't thought about the searches not matching IDs but this whole change has given me an opportunity to trash shows the Kids grew out, that Netflix has on demand, that RugbyPass has via an App. I will however makes suggestions in another thread (my one about UJB) about simplifying the Advanced selections to check boxes rather than having to remember %xxx% and titles etc.

Cheers,

k.

Ok great, don't forget about the keyword search that sub recommended to you which lets you specify which field to search pretty easily. I expect most of our matches are on title.
