If you use VLC, and open a network stream like:
http://localhost:8866/live?channel=6 replacing 6 with the channel number for A&E, do you still get the "&" in the filename?

That won't be the same since it started in timeshift mode with channel.stream.start

I just checked it in Kodi, and could reproduce with it set to timeshift mode. I was initially on realtime mode, and it worked ok with that.
Try this updated nshared.dll. It should fix it for you.

Worked great Sub.. no more "&" in the filename. Thanks. had to restart service first though. Not sure whats wrong with scanning of channels. but like I said I got my channels back and working with the old database from ver4 so its not a problem if you're busy with other stuff which I'm sure you are.

Ultimately, if there is a bug and I fix it, it means the next person wont have to deal with it.

Your right.. Here are the logs. one of the channels is 61.1 but there were many others. Like 24.2, 24.3, etc.. Thanks for looking Sub
