Making the plunge into v5! I had the pixelization problem with the HDPVR2 which was fixed by sub's patch in another thread.

Now I'm seeing an issue with IPTV channels. If I try to watch them live (Windows client), I get a black screen and no audio. But, the buffer file grows and plays back fine.
If I make a recording of the same channel, that recording plays back fine in the client as well. So it seems something is up with just the live TV path?

I've tried all permutations of decoders to no avail. Currently using my usual, Microsoft DTV-DVD for H.264 and LAV for AAC.

Logs attached, thank you!

The logs weren't attached firmly enough.  They have fallen off the post.

Big Grin Should have used the good stuff. It'll stay put now.

p.s. good to see some of us old timers are still around! Can't believe I'm going on 15 years of GBPVR/NextPVR!

When you try to watch live tv, do you see a temp buffer file being created in your live tv buffer directory?

Yes, the buffer file is created and it grows as expected, and it can be played back successfully.

It looks like it hadn't received any data by the time it was trying to set up the audio video decoders, so none were added.

If you set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \Software\Wow6432Node\NPVR\LogReaderAutomap=1 (DWORD), and create a c:\temp directory, then try watching the channel, then zip and attach the c:\temp\reader-automap.log, I'll take a look.

Does it work if you turn off EPG mode? v5 doesn't support it and I am surprised to see this.

That was it! Switching back to time based made it work. I guess I can live it with for now with a longer slip seconds setting. Is there any maximum limit on that?

If I hit record while watching, will the recording contain the previous 20 minutes (as per the slip seconds setting)? Or will it start a new recording in v5?

There is no EPG mode so recording starts when you start it. I am running a utility I wrote that saves the scroll back buffer on record and if the tuner stays the same it merges the recording with the scroll back buffer. It works for my needs as a replacement for EPG mode.
