It seems like linux is really close in v5. It wont work in the tv web interface but this command I picked up from earlier in the thread and adapted to my needs produces a 30 second or so video on all tuners. Does this not mean Opendct is working?

root@livetv:~# python3 /var/opt/nextpvr/scripts/opendct.py "START" "DCT-Ceton InfiniTV PCIe (00-80-84-b9) Tuner 1" 29 /tmp/myfile.mpg
START DCT-Ceton InfiniTV PCIe (00-80-84-b9) Tuner 1|29|12345678|/tmp/myfile.mpg|Great
OK

Unfortunately I don't know anything about opendct, so Martin would have to answer that. v4's support for the ceton devices went directly to the device, so didn't use opendct.

I don't know off hand. The web app in v4 was very basic compared to v5.

Does it work in nextpvr.exe in v4? That was the preferred viewer with v4.

@run088 given that OpenDCT is the device SageTV users use for HDHR Prime and Ceton devices I still thank your problem is more basic. Perhaps try SageTV on linux and see if you can configure OpenDCT and then if you want a better interface you can come back to NextPVR. Even though the Ceton's are dead products, I don't like seein your running on an obsolete O/S obsolete PVR (Sage or v4).

Send me the opendct.log file to make sure it is in the streaming mode.

Martin

So was it concluded that OpenDCT does not support more than a single port (and therefore tuners) for the infinitv cable cards?  I am desperately trying to find software to work with my card since reactivated with Comcast.  I have Python experience and general coding if that helps being a guinea pig  Cool

I don't think so, if you use the OpenDCT jar file that I posted somewhere on this thread.

Well its been a few years but I been working at trying to get this running again. I have been running a dual ceton card setup on windows with the cetonproxy app. It worked fine running 2 as long as you have 2 nic cards to bound each card to. However I needed a pcie slot in that machine for a raid card and needed to move a ceton back to my ubuntu server. Since I last tried this mod I have upgraded to the latest ubuntu lts version 22.04 and have a pretty clean environment to work with.

So far I have seemed to get it all to work but the opendct.sh file

I can run all the test described you pointed to earlier in this thread https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...988&page=4

Using opendct.py I can print to file or pipe just fine

But I can only get a 1mb file to print using my opendct.sh file
The files in the zips all through the thread are all windows bat files

Can anyone help with the proper file or code for the opendct.sh file?
