Ampersand and apostrophes in channel titles

At the moment both & and ' are removed from channel titles when scanned in.
Is it possible to keep these in?

Usually you'd still end up with these in the channel names. What type of device are your channel from?

I'm using a HDhomerun DVBT twin tuner:
HDHomeRun CONNECT DUO
Model: HDHR5-2DT

If you view http://<ipaddress>/lineup.xml in your web browser, using the ipaddress of your HDHomeRun, do you see '&' character in the channel names. (they'd be a longer form that looks like "&amp;")

Either that try that, or scan in NextPVR, without hitting the 'save' button, then post the logs.

Hi yes they do appear correctly in the hdhomerun menu as well as other apps.
They just seem to get replaced with a space in nextpvr for some reason

Just to be clear, on the Settings->Devices screen, are you using a device with the type HDHR or DVBT?

I thought I needed the DVBT type to support multiple recordings on a single tuner?

Is there a difference between HDHR and DVBT type?
