By design ... You can have genre colours or recording highlights but not both. Plus ... There's a tick box at Settings ... General.

Can you try replacing your existing guide.css file with this newer version? It should fix the issue. The red recording indication should take priority over the genre color.

That file makes no difference.

edit:

You had spaces after the "div", it works after they are removed.
