Cant record series!?

Hi I cant record series with the Guide, it will let me record a single show but wont do the series. 

doesnt give me any errors at any point it just doesnt do it. doesnt highlight it red, doesnt show up in the scheduled recordings. 

ive att the log file, ive not done this before so let me know what other info you need

I have no idea what all the log file codes are sorry, ive been trying to goggle the issue but i have a brain injury and its hard to read for long,  i deleted the single episode recording to try and do the series again but it still doesnt work, only sets it to record if i do single episode.

Once episodes are deleted they won't won't come back as recurring as you found.

Otherwise shows you really don't want to record would reappear.with EPG update, and you;d need to catch it after the EPG update before they record.

that makes sense, so why when i am trying to set a series recording is it not doing it at all? doesnt even register in the "scheduled" recordings. want to set to record a show every week like it use to but its not doing it. will only do a single recording. does that make sense? hard to get across in text, if it doesnt make sense ill do a screen grab of me trying to set the series/weekly recording to show whats happening.

Maybe give an example with the logs since that was the only recurring recording in the logs and I see it being returned to Kodi. Also check the web server to confim it it not being saved?

I don't think that you completely understood what Martin told you about how NextPVR works. Let me try to explain with (what I understand as) your specific case for Have You Been Paying Attention?.

1. You had manually scheduled episodes on 8/06/2026 8:40:05 PM and 15/06/2026 8:40:00 PM to be recorded (as one-off/manual recordings).
   
2. Then you deleted those one-off recordings because you wanted to set up a recurring recording to automatically record this show. When you did that, those 2 specific episode got saved in the database as "recently deleted" recordings so that they wouldn't automatically be recorded again in the future.
   
3. Then you created a recurring recording for the show by selecting one of those deleted episodes. When you did that, NextPVR looked through the guide for matching episodes of the show to be automatically scheduled for recording.
   
4. And it found those 2 episodes. But it also found that you had previously deleted the scheduled recording of them indicating that you didn't want those specific episodes recorded. So, it doesn't schedule them to be automatically recorded and they don't show up in the guide with the red background or in the Scheduled Recordings listing.
   
5. At this point, if you look in the Recurring Recordings listing, you will see Have You Been Paying Attention? listed. And future/new episodes that show up in the Guide will be automatically scheduled. (And, if there are currently other future episodes in the guide that you hadn't manually created and deleted, then those should be showing up with the red background and in the Scheduled Recordings list.)
   
   All of this is working correctly as designed.
   
   During this "transition" time, the easiest way to get those specific episodes recorded is to just manually select them to be recorded as you had done previously. But leave the Recurring Recording in the list, too. That way future episodes will automatically get scheduled like you want. (Note that there are a couple of other ways to get these to be marked for recording, but they are much more complicated and/or have other side effects. So, I would recommend that you just manually schedule these couple of recordings and move on.)
