I noticed some odd behavior when rewinding the recorded TV show with the web browser (Google Chrome) on my MX-Linux PC. Advancing in time was ok but going backwards in time caused the red Streaming Failed (transcoder exited) error to show but it still seemed to recover and go backwards in time. After a couple more backups the video started going bonkers then eventually gave up and closed the stream.

Also, the browser back button does  not work.

Logs attached.

Thanks

The web browser isn't the greatest client for watching recordings, due to complications with needing to restart on-the-fly transcoding each time you try to skip etc.

If you're intending to regularly use the browser for watching recordings, enabling the 'recording auto transcode' feature (Settings->Transcode page) makes life much better. With this enabled, at the end of a recording it'll automatically convert the recording to a browser friendly format, so that when you play it later in the browser, it plays quickly without having to do any on-the-fly transcoding. This gives for a much nice experience when skipping around etc.

Alternatively, use a client that plays the stream natively, like nextpvr.exe.

Normally, I use Kodi and don't see any issues. Was just seeing how well the web app is working. I'll experiment with those transcoder settings.

Thanks for the response!
