Here is what I get scanning 634Mhz
2020-05-08, 03:55 AM
634MHz contains these LCN numbers in the stream:
Logical channel 110 = MPEG service 9 (Primocanale+1) Logical channel 215 = MPEG service 7 (Primocanale Sound) Logical channel 512 = MPEG service 2 (Telecittà) Logical channel 510 = MPEG service 2001 (Primocanale HD) Logical channel 607 = MPEG service 5 (Welcome+1)

658MHz contains these LCN numbers in the stream:
Logical channel 10 = MPEG service 1 (Primocanale) Logical channel 11 = MPEG service 2 (Telecittà) Logical channel 112 = MPEG service 3 (Primocanale Primo Piano) Logical channel 213 = MPEG service 4 (Welcome) Logical channel 12 = MPEG service 5 (E'TV LIGURIA) Logical channel 608 = MPEG service 6 (Primopiano Sport)

I don't know what to add, I think the main problem is the unstable scanning of the frequencies, every time the results are different. If you like to deepen (could it be some bugs?) I am attaching this zip with a report (a summary of some channels as per the last scans on days 06 and 07) and also the yesteday's db3 (you already have those of days 6 and 7) and this is a .... (only a few channels have a correct number). How can this happen?

Is this over the air DVB-T from an antenna? In the UK ... some frequencies are broadcast at lower power ... I sometimes get a good signal (and good scans) from high power frequencies and poor signal (and poor scans) from low power frequencies. For me the signal is affected by the stuff like the weather (hot weather interferes with the signal) and leaves on the trees near my house in the summer. What happens if you remove all splitters and extension coax cables before you do a scan? Plus, why do you need to scan every day? I have been able to get a result by removing splitters and doing a scan and then putting the splitters back. Recordings are sometimes not the best after I put the splitters back but they are good enough. YES, over the air DVB-T from an antenna. I tried in different conditions and times, for days the weather has been nice, and I have not splitters widely, only two outputs (one for the main TV and one for any other uses like this). By performing (for test) repeated scans also on the TV, the results are stable. Repeated scans are motivated by the need to test and be able to obtain a scan that respects all commonly used LCN numbers. The results are sometimes so disarming that it is difficult to attribute them to the split, but I could try and verify.

It is usually accepted that the tuners in computer devices are less sensitive than the tuners in televisions. My suggestion is to repeat the scans until you get all of the channels and then stop. You can change the channel numbers in ... Settings -> Channels

Sub has posted a few times, mainly to UK users that the LCN is not always picked up correctly Here was one of his explanations https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid503115 I don't think having to manually type in a channel name/number is that critical to the operation of NextPVR.
Besides the timing issue, there are a couple is issues in this thread, sub is aware that he isn't converting the accented characters properly. For the other issue the same channel on multiple LCN depending on frequency, that is more a user issue. The big question, ignoring the LCN issue is are you able to get channels on the frequencies that you want? Martin
