There was no rain delay at the start of the time slot but there was a lengthy ceremony for Memorial Day. The race got underway after that. The the race was red-flagged for rain about 7:20pm(?) and was restarted about 8:20(?)pm.

Times are approximate. Also note that I was monitoring the channel using VLC on a network tablet during the rain delay.

There was a rain delay about 1.5 hrs but the broadcast continued through it.

Ok thanks it does look like something on the API changed, my web server is still not seeing that it started but the API does show it ended.

I will see if I can monitor the xfinity race tonight.

Of course I had to change the server and the client for changes to Xfinity for this season but the API is working.

Definitely there is a a problem with the API site from ESPN it continue to show pre-race status at the end of the race, but it did extend it. I will wait to see if it and when it changes state.

I'm assuming you meant FS1 (Fox Sports)?

So, If there is an issue with the API will it get fixed?

This monitoring is via an ESPN API and probably related to their ticker. For this event things turned out ok, since it went to the proper status indicating that the race end 5 minutes after the actual end as expected. As a result I did get the OT.

The difference is the API did not change status to indicate that the race was in progress and so the logic to handle long delays (start time plus four hours) kicked in and the client was notified about this. It is possible that the Sunday race was valid and the four hours was not enough. I could add an option to ignore this if you guys think that would help.

At this point I'm inclined to not rely on Nextend to monitor sporting events. Since moving to Youtube TV, sporting events are automatically extended without any user intervention.

That's fine for me, it did work as expected yesterday. YouTube TV isn't available in Canada so I can't comment but I wouldn't give up cable for it.
