Thanks, I loaded 5.0.0.813 and it seems better.
Tried 6 short recordings quickly and all worked with no 0kb issue.

I scheduled 9 normal recordings overnight, no 0kb files with 5.0.0.813.
Hope this can be a fix for any others with the 0kb issue, thanks for help.

Just had my first 0kb recording today with 5.0.0.813.
First 0kb recording since I updated from many recordings made.
Is there an even newer version of mpgmux available ?

I too am suffering from the 0kb recordings. I'm using the Twinhan DVB-T and the Cyberlink Mux ( 4.0.0.2122 ) . I am using the latest Twinhan drivers.

I made 5 recordings today - 2 failed and 3 were OK . Here is the output from a failed one :

Sadly the output from the successful ones are identical. I even did 2 from the same channel (UK History) - 1 worked and 1 didn't so I'm tending not to think this is a signal strength issue. These were all from a machine which is hibernating, however this has happened to me when the machine is running whilst starting a recording.

Can I use another mux - the SS one perhaps , or could this be a driver issue ?

Thanks in Advance , Vit .

Its probably the mux. Try a newer version of the Cyberlink mux. 4.0.0.2122 is pretty old. Many People here are running 5.0.0.813

Thanks Sub for the response.

I now tried 4 Cyberlink Mux's -

The version 4.0.0.xxx all seem to produce 0Kb recording at some point, but always record audio and video when they do record.

Version 5.0.0.813 has not yet produced a 0Kb recording but does not record the audio on some channels ( UK DVB ) - Channel 5 and Sky Travel. In fact, in some Channel 5 recordings, the background music is recorded but not the foreground voices and others, the main programmes have no audio but the adverts are OK. Video is fine in all cases.

Version 5.0.0.1307 seem to give pretty much the same results as 5.0.0.813, though I have tested it in as much detail.

Could it be that UK Channel 5 DVB transmissions are Dolby Surround Sound ( It mentions something about this on their site, but I don't know if this applies to DVB as well ) ? Is there are configuration that I can set in the Mux to take account of this ??

Have you tried the DVR-MS mux?

OK, I've figured it out. When scanning the channels, the channel list comes up with Five and Five(2) . I had my channel set to Five(2) and this does not seem to have all the audio components. Resetting this to Five has brought back the audio Big Grin

Thanks for the support !

Vit.

BTW, the DVR-MS looks pretty solid ( 6 out of 6 good recordings ) - any idea when it will be supported in the MVP ?

You can already play DVR-MS files on the MVP, but it has to transcode them to MPEG2, so it cant be used for timeshift mode, and you also loose features like being able resume etc.
