Recording stops when computer used

I have a completely repeatable problem with scheduled recordings
If I try to use my pc while it is recording then the recording stops

Am I really the only person with this issue?

New Asus Z490 chipset motherboard
Hauppauge Quad TV card

This is what I did

Complete keep nothing install of windows 2004 on new ssd
Load Hauppauge drivers from their web site
Install NextPVR
Using web app
 - scan for devices
 - scan for channels
 - set a program in the guide to record
 - leave everything else at the default

Let computer sleep

At the correct time the computer wakes from sleep and starts recording (disc light flashing but screen remains blank)
If I  then move mouse - screen comes up to lock screen
Sign in to my account 

At this point the tray icon is green and tells me correctly that nothing is being recorded
The recording has stopped
The recording is there and recorded up until the time I used the computer

I have only used the web app
This happens every time I try
The only thing I am doing which might be different to most is using a local windows account

First why are you doing the channel scan so often?

Second your PC is sleeping will doing an epg update and the device is not resuming so that would technically be a device issue.

I only did the channel scan once
But its a quad TV card so I then copy the channels to the other three devices as it tells me to do

When it finishes scanning for channels it asks if I want to do an epg update - I did
I waited for it to finish
then I found a program to record in the guide

I did NOT do another epg update after that

So if it really is doing an update when it goes to sleep then it is not something I started

Effectively when you said yes to do an epg update that is starting a scan.

I have gone back to the beginning

This computer is just a newly installed windows 2004
Install NextPVR

Scan for channels on ONE device (not copied the channels to the other devices)
When it finished getting channels it asks to update epg
Clicked Yes and then WAITED until it said epg update complete

Go to guide select a program to record
Put computer to sleep
It DOES go to sleep properly - no issue with that
It DOES wake at the correct time and DOES start to record

But then touch mouse
log in at lock screen and the recording stops
green icon - and status says nothing recording

I have done nothing except this sequence

I can't see in the logs that NextPVR Server stops recording (though I may have missed it) ... Is there a .TS  file in the recording folder and does it play and does the recording end prematurely?

Yes exactly

The .TS file is there with a perfect recording until I touch mouse (.ts is not currupt in any way)
It plays normally
In this case the .ts file is 2:27 min long

Am I the only one with this issue?

Sub is going to need to explain why this request is happening

It seems like a delayed reaction because the EPG update thread doesn't when the EPG update is finished it is after the PC wakes up.

I'm still a little confused why your machine is going to sleep while still recording though.

That dll does seem to have solved the problem

But it was not about my computer going to sleep when it was recording - it has never done that


What was happening previously was that a scheduled recording was stopped if I used the computer

so
schedule recording
computer sleeps
computer wakes from sleep at correct time and starts to record - but screen is blank
move mouse and log in
recording immediately stops

It seems strange that I am the only one who had this issue?
