GSSBOX (SAT>IP) scan does not find any channels

Hi everybody,

I'm new to NextPVR, so please bear with me  

I've installed NextPVR on my mac (OS 10.14.6).
My SAT>IP box is recognized instantly, but when I try to scan for channels on Astra 19.2E nothing is found.
Currently I'm useing the DVBLink software as backend for Kodi wich does find the channels, but I'm looking for an alternative.

Any help is appreciated

It kind of looks like all the way through the scan, it finds these same channels over and over, like it's stuck on the one frequency:

I'm not familiar with this specific device, but I'm guessing it's got some type of web interface. Do you see the tuner frequency changing while it's trying to scan?

Sorry, it's an old device with a very simple web interface. Just some settings for antenna and network, a status page with version info, but no real time info about what's going on.

But I noticed this: NextPVR shows me four available tuner slots (correct!). I selected the first for the channel scanning, with no luck...
I shut down NextPVR and started my old DVBLink software again, but now only the first tuner slot was usable. The other three tuner where blocked just as beeing in use.
I had to switch off and on again the GSSBOX the free them up. Which seems a little bit odd to me.

Just found that Telestar Digibit R1 and Grundig GSS.BOX are allegedly the same hardware ... is that any help?

I bought a Digibit R1 early in the year and although it seemed to work with V4 OK it had lots of problems using V5. Sub managed to get it partly working but I think his Digibit R1 was faulty. A couple of months ago he did some more work and it seemed to be fully working.

Inverto also sell the box under their name as well. I think they all use the same firmware the only difference is the Logo. I have heard of people using the Inverto firmware on the Digibit under the impression that is somehow better than the Telestar version! This is my firmware version which seems to be the latest.

I have heard that an earlier firmware version had a lot of problems and people were told to go back to a previous version until the current version was released.

Sub managed to get it partly working but I think his Digibit R1 was faulty.

Yeah, unfortunately mine seems to have died. I still have a DigitalDevices Octopus.NET device though (and occasionally test against minisatip)

I did hold my breath and dared to install the latest firmware (1.25.0.157) from Telestar Digibit R1 onto my "Grundig GSS" box, and it worked!

Scanning of the channels now is fine :-)
