Scheduling Advanced Recording when Show isn't currently in EPG

It would be really useful to be able to schedule an Advanced recording, even when there is no matching show within the EPG.

I've recently reinstalled, and for various reasons, my existing configured recordings didn't transfer. I'm not looking to troubleshoot that now...

But, I want to set up a few of the recordings I know will be coming up over the next few months, but don't exist in the EPG currently.

For example, "I'm A Celebrity" - it's not on currently, and I generally don't follow news about when it's on, but I want it recorded every day when it is on... I did of course previously have a recording scheduled with the V4 install, so year on year, it just rolled round and recorded it.

This will also allow me to set up a schedule for a new show if I hear about it being made and it sounds interesting, but don't know when it's going to come out. Like setting up a little surprise for myself in the future!

You should be able to just remember that advanced queries use sqlite and you would need to use two single quotes not one.

OK, probably a bad example to use, because I don't think it's the "It's" that causes the issue.

I've tried the search term as "title like '%A Celebrity%'" and it still comes up with "No matching shows found" after clicking on Save.

Do you still have your recurring-backup.xml from your v4 system? You should be able to use that to edit and make a list of recurring recordings that you want to import into your v5 system.

Don't do it from Search, use the Scheduler + choose the Advanced type and any other options you'd like and enter title like 'I''am a celebrity'

I found that the schedule was being created (I found all my various attempts) but the Search failed.

Now I know what's what with that, I can continue setting it up as necessary.
