EPG Guide in .xml.gz format

Hi

Is it possible to import a compressed (xml.gz) EPG guide? 

I have a source that is only in this format, I tried importing it but is not working because the file is compressed. I could unzip it and add it manually but then again I have to do more work around updating the EPG.

Sub added support for gz file in v4 not sure if that is for local files though which is why you need to include logs with posts.

Yes, I tried but it is empty.

I add the source, update the guide and then I tried to map it.

Are you sure it isn't just taking a long time to load. I don't want to discuss this further since that file looks like it may not be legitmate. github doesn't mean legal iptv.org was recently blocked.

No is not, I am using this file with IPTVboss and is loading fine. If you open the file in your browser and extract it you will see that the file is not corrupt or anything else. 

The owner of the repo is using Webgrab+ and is updating this source every day. I am not sure why the contributor choose to use GitHub instead of using a web server or something else. 

The file is from a source which I know is working and is used by others, I am not just going in Github and pick whatever source without knowing the source.

I didn't mean it was invalid I meant it probably is using copyright material scrapped from tvpassport.com no doubt against one or more Terms of Service. It could be shutdown. It is not different from NextPVR users uploading their Schedule Direct XMLTV files to github for the world.

Anyway I don't have experience loading and parsing a big file like that into NextPVR I just though it might take more time than you are giving it.
