No Audio in Conversion Processing

I like the new update and stuill messing around with the new additions. My problem is the conversion processing. Mpg to WMV works and I have audio, however the XVid & Divx gives me converted video and no audio. I need help

You could try uninstalling your current "LAME MPEG Layer III Audio Encoder" filter, which will be in a file called lame.ax somewhere on your machine, and replace it with an update version from http://www.elecard.com/ftp/pub/directsho..._dshow.zip. When this new version is used, it'll show the name 'Lame Audio Encoder'. This is the version I've used, and it may help your problem.

Remeber to register the new filter by running:

Regsvr32 lame.ax

In my search I did not find the lam.ax. I downloaded the one you reccomended and I figure to install it, I should just run Regsvr32 lame.ax from dos right ? I will test to see if this works or not, because I have no clue as to how to install these audio encoders

I searched my whole ocmputer and did not find the lame.ax at all. I went ahead and registered the oen i downloaded and still have audio issues. I rememebr downloaing a lame encoder awhile back, but I am sure i unistalled it, and I cant find anythign related to it. Still no audio

I figure it is something with the audio encoder, ut i am such a noob to this

Its still using the old LAME encoder. Try downloading the DirectShow Filter Manager from http://www.softella.com/. This will tell you where the filter is on your machine. I'm not sure this is the cause of your problem, but I dont have any other leads at this stage.
