@Kurosh out of curiosity how often is a UK rescan even required.

Got myself a new tuner and was thinking when I scan for channels that I would also renumber the HD channels so they come first i.e. swap BBC1 on channel 1 for the HD version on 101 etc so this will be good news for future rescans.
One other question I have is that I have a number of existing recordings scheduled, If I delete the current lineup and rescan and then renumber a handful of the channels will those recordings still work or will I need to reschedule them?

If you delete the channels then rescan, yes, you'd be best to cancel those recordings and reschedule them. (they'll look like different channels)

In my experience, it's a bit more than that recently in my area with the HD channels. Also, new channels are added but also channels are being removed. Like @Red5ive - I like to put all my HD chnnels at the beginning of the lineup but then I go a step further ad make all the +1 channels next to the original one (e.g. ITV and ITV+1).

Thanks I figure the freeview retunes for 2020 have been completed so I was going to simply suggest not rescaning until he next release to keep admin happy. Channels can be removed without a scan.
