Issues after setup

Hi,
I have just installed NextPVR on my AppleTV 4K, ver 14.2.
This is the first time I use NextPVR.
After setting it up I face some problems:
- When playing a movie or line channel, how do I add the subtitles ?
- I'm able to record a program, but when I play it I'm not able to paus or fast-forward. In fact, I'm not able to do anything, not even go back one step. If I hit the menu (back) it goes all the way out to the Main screen and if I go back in it comes back to the same location where it was before. The only way to get out from playing the recorded program is to restart iOS.

There is no support for subtitles at this stage. It's on my to-do list.

That sounds like it's related to (the newly released) tvOS 14.2 issues related a few days ago (see https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=61853). I'm hoping to check it out this weekend.
