Hmm, that file doesn't have a playback_position it should be considered new.

Great thanks for testing, I will submit a PR for these two changes for Matrix. Hopefully now that Kodi is is beta status it won't be too long for a release.
Thanks also for information on that watched tick, I hadn't seen it before or used the option to set/unset watched so that will be useful getting it working as it should. Martin

Have you been able to determine why the Watched status for recordings does not work with MySQL in Matrix? If I mark a recording as Watched, then exit Kodi and restart it is not marked as Watched. Likewise with marking as UnWatched. It also seems if I watch just a few minutes of the recording it now gets marked as Watched. I am using Beta2. Ideally it would work like Leia where progress and watched status were all stored in MySQL. Thanks.

I assume you are using addon 8.0.2 on all your clients and you have re-confirmed that without MySQL it works as expected. The addon doesn't know the difference so you will need to open this as a Kodi issue on github with Kodi debug logs with and without MySQL.

I removed MySQL and it still doesn't work. Is the addon supplying the progress and watched status now instead of being stored in Kodi?

They should be coming from the server. Are you using 8.0.2? I might have screwed it up.

Yes, Beta2 with 8.0.2. What I meant was, in Leia, it looked like the progress and watched status for the recording was saved in the Kodi database (without adding the recordings to the Kodi library), and not retrieved from the server each time via the NPVR addon. Was this not the case?
