I go the issue with my TV series not recoding all episodes regardless of whether I have recorded them already but now everything is recording twice in the same timeslot so it is chewing up twice as much space and using more resources.  I have no idea what I have done.  I have had this happen before on a here and there basis but now it seems to be a mistake in scheduling that is recording everything twice yet I have no idea what I did wrong.

Log files are HERE

Thanks

When you turned off avoid duplicates did you make sure your rules do are channel specific

As far as I know. These are recording two instances of the same stream on one tuner.....just multiple files. They have exactly the same time stamps and are within a few bytes of the same size.

Try doing an Empty EPG, followed by an Update EPG. After this, do you still see the shows listed twice?

What EPG source are you using?

I just did as you suggested and nope, there are still double entries in the scheduler for these episodes on the exact same channel....how is that even possible? This isn't a case of duplicates but multiple recordings of the same stream.

Now I have some series recording the exact same episode in the exact same time slot on the same channel THREE times and some FOUR times.....this is crazy

NextPVR does what it is told to do. If you create two rules for the same show on the same channel with duplicates off it will make two recordings. In may example above you have rules 92 and 93. It will try and reuse the same tuner too.

Trying to support this further without logs is what is crazy.

I gave you the logs yesterday....it got worse after I emptied the EPG and then reloaded it. How do I get rid of the extra rules?

Yesterday it was just Spongebob. Now that I reloaded the EPG as you suggested I have PAW Patrol recording 2 times....then later in the day 3 times and Hogan's Heroes 4 times and I never did anything in the guide with those shows. The only difference was emptying and reloading the EPG data.
