Mute shortcut

I would appreciate a keyboard shortcut for the Mute command (so I can program it on my remote - Snapstream Firefly). V4 and/or V5 would be great.

Which client and platform? Assuming you want the master mute on Windows just program the master multimedia key for mute, Snapstream should support this.

Windows client, I just want to mute the NextPVR client so I can watch a game and listen to music thru another app at the same time.

If Kodi isn't you music player use it to play the game via v4 or v5 and it can be muted.

Bump this. I'll be in remote control heaven if I can get a mute shortcut key mapped to the Mute command while playing a recording or live tv. Looks like in Windows Media player it was F8. I can setup any key combination for my remote.
(I'm not using or planning to use Kodi)

F8 would be the Kodi mute, but maybe you had a laptop with a HID mute shortcut. AFAIK mute and volume up/down have never been controlled by NextPVR or GBPVR but MCE and HID based remotes should really just work.

As mentioned, WMC remotes should already be able to control the volume/mute.

I'll add a key combo for the next build. I would have made it control-M, but that is already in use. I'll make it alt-M.

It'll be NextPVR only mute, the same as the 'mute' context menu item.

It's just an alternative option for people not using an MCE remote.
