Watching in-progress recording goes past end of recording

Ah your right sorry the text in the setting screen is wrong. I changed the variable to avoid a lot of == false's in the code but not the text in string.po.

I have to figure out how to make that one clear now. Would this make sense?

Yes, makes sense but maybe say "watched status" instead of "play counts" since I'm not sure play counts is exposed to the user in Kodi or NPVR?

Ok that makes sense too, it isn't available in NextPVR at all, but it might be in some Kodi skins. Never really understood the reason for tracking play count especially when it is so easy to trash it.

Trying to install the Android arm version (downloaded from your link) on my Shield TV and keep getting a failure of "invalid structure" for the zip file?

The zip looks correct. Are you using aarch64 on a 64 bit Shield?

On my Shield, when using the resume points stored in Kodi/MySQL, it seems to temporarily reset to showing the NextPVR-stored resume points whenever I bring the Shield out of sleep or delete a recording. That is, all the watched status check-marks and partial-watched indicators are cleared in the recordings list and don't return until I exit and restart Kodi.

That sounds like something you need to report via a Kodi github issue with detailed logs (PVR and EPG logging enabled) and an explanation. If you have the setting turned off the last watched and play count are not even reported as addon capabilities https://github.com/kodi-pvr/pvr.nextpvr/...r.cpp#L976
