If you get a chance, can you please upload another example full ts file? It's easier for me to work with listings that are in the future. Most of the ones in your previous file are in the past now.

I'm on the same firmware with an HDHomeRun HDHR4-2US. ATSC devices selected (not HDHR). BDA Compatibility Mode set to MediaPortal. EPGScanSeconds set to 600. So, say it's 8:05am and I click Update EPG; after it's all done, I will only end up with a three hour block of guide data from 6:00am-8:59am.

That is certainly possible with OTA on some channels. Based on your users name you use WMC, Are you using EPG123 to get your guide data or does WMC get the guide data often?

I've used WMC for many years, the last three or four years paired with ServerWMC and pvr.wmc in Kodi, but I've not really used EPG123. Last year, after Microsoft removed the guide data from WMC, I did install EPG123 and got as far with that as downloading some EPG data from OTA to a file with EPG Collector, and it retrieved maybe 24 hours of guide data, but I never got around to trying to set up a script to regularly retrieve that and import it into WMC. Honestly, I just don't record enough stuff to necessitate paying for guide data, and trying to jump through the hoops to get it for free by juggling multiple complicated programs and scripts is not worth the effort to me. But it'd just be nice to get a day's worth of EPG data from OTA if NextPVR can actually do it. Anyway, yesterday, I decided to try out NextPVR because the dev for pvr.wmc isn't interested in supporting his Kodi add-on anymore, and it's likely to continue to become more buggy over time. Also, frankly, it's starting to become a little annoying having to do the waltz of blocking Windows Updates just to keep WMC functioning. It seems like NextPVR could be a straight forward alternative, so here I am trying it out to see if it supports retrieving enough OTA EPG data to be useful.

With SD you get two weeks of data and it is much richer than OTA. NextPVR should be able to get all the OTA that is available but one day's worth is not guaranteed. You can configure NextPVR to update more frequently though. It is worth a cup of coffee a month.
I'm emveepee on Kodi so I know where you came from. For a channel that is only giving you a few hours we can can confirm what is there is you want with a full ts save. Using the physical channel number run curl "http://ip:5004/auto/ch#?duration=60" -o capture.ts or for legacy devices using the HDHomerun gui to tuner the channel and then run "C:\Program Files\Silicondust\HDHomeRun\hdhomerun_config" <device id> save /tuner0 capture.tst and wait 60 seconds and Then post capture.ts on your OneDrive/Google Drive etc and post a link Martin (2021-01-18, 04:21 PM)mvallevand Wrote: I'm emveepee on Kodi so I know where you came from. I guess that is a legacy device since I forgot a step after tuning, it is filtered.
"C:\Program Files\Silicondust\HDHomeRun\hdhomerun_config" <device id> set /tuner0/filter 0x0000-0x1FFF Martin

No that's the same only 39MB I'd expect bigger and there is no epg data in it.
