I'm using Kodi und a Firestick, with the NextPVR add-on.
As has been discussed here in a few threads, there are problems with interlacing (horizontal bars) when watching free to air TV (Australia, SD and HD channels), and the general consensus seems to be that the Firestick isn't powerful enough to properly deinterlace the video stream.
My question, is what device IS powerful enough, other than a PC or Raspberry?
Has anyone got any experience with an Nvidia Shield or similar? Firestick 4k?
Another solution would be to transcode the video stream prior to sending it from the NextPVR server to the Firestick/Kodi, but I seem to have read that there are no plans for this functionality?
Any advice would be appreciated.
