Is it possible to Multirec / Record multiple channels from one multiplex with the Hauppauge WinTV-quadHD USB or WinTV-quadHD PCIe?

Did you try the Hauppauge device? On a quad tuner it might not be as apparent because NextPVR doesn't necessarily multi-rec by default.

I do not have either. I were thinking about buying one if they have this ability with NextPVR for Linux.

yes, though I have haven't explicitly tested it in Linux. As long as they have Linux drivers it should work there too.

I setup test with my Hauppauge card HVR 2250 and while not a direct test I was able to multi-rec many clear QAM channels just fine so in general as sub posted multi rec is supported in linux.

However you might want to check the status of the quad tuners for the linux kernel on github too https://github.com/b-rad-NDi/Ubuntu-medi...der/issues
