My PC and server is on 2.x and "no" http://192.168.2.100:8866 doesn't connect to the server. Could be something with my browser, it's not the issue. It's the Atv on 6.x routed that won't connect, however my iPhone on 6.x and I just checked my iPad (ver 2.1b19) on 6.x both work fine. Also my Atv connects fine to 2.x cameras across the route and to the internet & it's router gw on 2.x. So it appears the issue is specific to the latest Atv code only. Can you duplicate this setup and test the issue? Btw, my server has no ip or port restrictions for both tcp and udp inbound and no restrictive rules outbound associated with NextPvr. The server is without 3rd party antivirus or other potentially blocking software other than native Win10 antivirus.

Does you Apple TV connect directly on the NextPVR subnet using manual settings? This willl determine if there is an issue with manual configuation or not. NextPVR won't deal with the network layer.

Sub: Did you notice that his ATV subnet mask is 255.255.255.224 not 255.255.255.0? Might that be affecting either the client or the server communications and/or thinking something is internal vs. external?

All clients & servers are reserve lease DHCP assigned by a common router.

NextPVR doesn't deal with anything low-level networking related, so doesn't need to know anything about network masks etc. The app just tvOS for the contents of the url, and tvOS takes care of whatever networking stuff is required to find it and download the contents.

Did this get dropped? My wife would like to program shows but still can't. I have to do it for her which is getting old. ;-) Thanks.

There are two distinct difference between the iPhone and the Atv4k in terms of entering a manual server ip:port/pin.

1. With the iPhone it remembers the last attempted ip:port/pin entry the Atv4k doesn't. The Atv4k reverts back to the default 192.168.1.20.

2. The iphone will eventually give up trying the manual ip:port/pin, if incorrect, with error "Sorry. Unable to connect to specified server."  The Atv4k doesn't give up. It just keeps trying and trying until the app is swiped out of memory.

The Atv4k seems to behave as if it "really" doesn't accept the manually entered ip:port/pin but is instead using the default with every attempt regardless of what is entered.

I meant schedule via Edge, Safari, Firefox or Chome. Many people prefer that anyway.

I investigated the issue with sub and coule duplicate it, the reality is very few people need two subnets so it seems it is just low priority.
