Nextpvr auto start

Thinking of switching to ver 5.  From what I see on the videos you have to enter a user name and password ever time to start the DVR.  Can this be set to automatically run with out a UN/PW?

It starts as a service just like v4. The browser requires a login but the credentials can be saved.

Simply stated ... NextPVR (V4 and V5) has two components ... 1) A Recording Server service that runs continuously in the background and connects to tuners and makes recording and all that ... 2) Client "apps" that connect to the Recording Service so that we can watch recodings and Live TV and so on.

The web app in V5 require a username and password for first use on a device and can remember the values for second and later uses.  The NextPVR Server service start when the computer boots and no passwords are required (in both V4 and V5).

Tick that 'Remember Me' when logging in and you wont see the login page again.

The NPVR service changes to Manual startup type on every reboot. Shouldn't it be set to Automatic?

By default it is Automatic. Perhaps you changed it at one time, the installer won't change it back (thankfully)

Is the service startup set to Automatic Delayed by default so that NextPVR waits about 60 seconds for other tasksand drivers to start?

I had to uninstall and reinstall NPVR in order for it to stay on Automatic (Delay). Not sure what happened there. Works now.
