I am cleaning up some failed shows and I was wondering how to trigger the AutoRemoveMissingRecordings logic.  I tried restarting the server and looking at the recording list in the web browser but the files I deleted are still there.

Also thanks for caching the event information on delete.  It helps being selective with the history.

I think most of the web UI opts for speed when returning recording lists etc, so disables these checks.

If you've got AutoRemoveMissingRecordings set to true, opening the Recordings screen in nextpvr.exe will do it.

From knewc UI Client it is not working, I see the same number as the web browser. If I try to play a file that has been deleted there is no activity sent to play and there is not error in the log.

AutoRemoveMissingRecordings is set to true right? If so, you shouldn’t see it in your list, so shouldn’t be able to attempt to play it.

Right

martin@linux:~/recordings/Perry Mason$ grep AutoR /var/opt/nextpvr/config.xml
<AutoRemoveMissingRecordings>true</AutoRemoveMissingRecordings>

Do you get "LoadList@1" in the log when you visit the Recordings screen?

<NoRemoveWhenTreeMissing> may also be a factor.

I set NoRemove... to false and no change (thought it might be related to the tree check on linux but no luck)

Yes it has LoadList@1 on the first try

2021-05-07 23:31:10.686 [DEBUG][4] LoadList@0
2021-05-07 23:31:10.694 [DEBUG][4] LoadList@1
2021-05-07 23:31:10.702 [DEBUG][4] LoadList@2
2021-05-07 23:31:10.702 [DEBUG][4] LoadList@3

Still have all the listing and the play option comes up on non existent files
