some ip channels stopped playing in NetxPVR only

Up to this week I was able to watch certain channels on kodi connecting  to nextPVR. Now its stopped playing in Next PVR but does play in myiptv player.
The media link is https://mediapolis.rai.it/relinker/relin...nt=2606803. Again, I can open this in myiptv player but not nextpvr and so not Kodi either
Help please

NextPVR uses ffmpeg to retrieve that file but I can't see it returning anything. If you run

"C:\Program Files\NextPVR\Other\ffplay" "https://mediapolis.rai.it/relinker/relinkerServlet.htm?cont=2606803"

does it play? It is geo-locked here so it only plays a tiny clip.

Yes it plays!!
It is GEO locked but if it plays the clip it'll play the rest for me

That link returns a redirect to a 16 second mp4 file with the message saying the content is region locked to Italy. It's hard to know what it might return in Italy, where it's not geo-blocked. If ffplay can stream, it should work in NextPVR.

The 16 second mp4 file it's currently returning isn't long enough to keep things the video flowing, to appear as live tv in NextPVR. (ie, it probably downloads it all in a second or two, then the stream ends)

It feels like the NextPVR service isn't going through your VPN.   If you stop the NextPVR service and as a test run

cd "\Program Files"
NextPVRServer

does it work manually?  If yes you pretty much are on your own figuring out how to configure the service.

Thanks Martin. How do i test manually. ive stopped the service and run NextPVRServer which launched a cmd window and ran some stuff.

Also how do i cofifigure the service

one last thing, it all worked last week

Once NextPVR is running in a command windows you can test from Kodi.

Something outside NextPVR changed I guess.
