This is very annoying. Tried WinLIRC but it's not working. Are there any other ir blaster that I can buy that would possibly work better?

I don’t have any suggestions on how to fix it, but some IR devices also use a toggle bit, which could be a factor.

That might well be the issue, I've come across similar issues before.

MaxOne72, if you'd like to test if it requires a toggle bit, you need to "learn" the codes from the remote control twice and capture the different codes.

The toggle bit is essential there to differentiate whether the button has been 1) pressed and held, or 2) pressed, released, and pressed again.  If you learn the code once, and then release and press the button again, you might get a different code.  You might need to try a few times to be sure.  You would then blast the codes as say "2a" "2b" "1a" where 2a and 2b are the two different versions of the button 2.

Also, it might not be a toggle bit, but at least the above will test the theory.
