It was sounding like you were using the old file, but that doesn't seem to be the case. If it had been the case, I would have expected other log messages, which aren't present in your logs, so not really looking like the same problem.

Sorry, I'm not really sure what might be causing that. I'll keep an eye out for any other posts reporting this.

If you want change registry key

HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\NPVRLogTSWriter and set dword to 1

This should create a file in C:\temp\writer.txt or something like that.

Zip it up and send it. When I have had this error there were errors in memory mapping.

Yes, that may contain some clues. Create a c:\temp directory and set HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\NPVR\LogTSWriter=1 (DWORD) in the registry

I've created that key, changed the buffer to 30 mins, played a tv channel, which stopped after 10 mins and it created the two writer files in the attached zip file.

Can you send the NextPVR logs as well? It certainly starts creating the seconds file.

Thanks it's like the flush stops working, NextPVR doesn't see the file growing after here.

Meant to say, it might be a coincidence but it just stopped after about 3 minutes (although buffer is set to 30mins) at the end of a program before the next one came on. On second attempt it went for the standard 10mins (when buffer is set to 30).

I guess increasing the buffer is a workaround to this - are there any disadvantages to doing this?
