Thanks Martin - I increased the buffer up to a reasonable 400 mins, which should encompass most live tv watching - but if sub can shed any light on this it would be interesting.

Hi Martin,
I changed it to one of my HDDs but the result was the same.

Do you see it stop after the same time if you want the stream in nextpvr.exe?
He was meaning, the Windows PC client, NextPVR.exe. "C:\Program Files\NextPVR\client\NextPVR.exe"
When playing do you notice a second file in C:\temp getting created? If not cab you disable any antivirus since it might slow down things done just enough to cause an error.
Also I hate bugging you to try things but is there any difference if you tick "Keep digital tuners primed" on the Settings->Device page?
I have no intent of hijacking this thread, but I wanted to let you know that TheBuff is not alone. For giggles, I tried watching TV for the first time using Nextpvr on my computer and sure enough, after 20 minutes the live TV stops and what is really odd is that the white dot on the timeline starts to move backwards on its own and stops at the beginning at the beginning of the buffer value (in my case -2.00 mins). Crashing also occurs with the nextpvr app in windows; same thing happens. Keeping tuners primed makes no difference and I do not see any files being written in the C:/Temp dir. I did not send logs since I assume you have TheBuff's and I don't want to take over this issue, but I wanted to let you know that I see the problem too. The reason I never noticed it (and I'll bet others too), is that I use Nextpvr as a DVR not as a TV for live viewing and then I play back my recording using VLC, not Nextpvr.

I believe that sub was asking for a set of logs showing trying to watch live TV in the NextPVR.exe client on the same Windows machine as the server. (Not the web client.) If one of you could provide those (the whole ziped log set which will include the NextPVR.exe log as well as the corresponding server logs), that would probably be most helpful to sub in trying to diagnose the problem.
