NextPVR on M1 Mac?

Nope. Had the exact same issue as you a couple of weeks back.

As you said before, I think we're waiting on the next release with (hopefully) a fully supported version of .Net.

I'm not sure what Microsoft is doing on the M1 front. Hopefully they'll get a new version out that'll resolve things for you.

NextPVR is built against .NET Core 3.1, which is their current LTS (Long Term Support) build. As a LTS build it will receive updates/patches for a couple more years.

Late this year Microsoft will release .NET 6, which is their next LTS build. NextPVR will move to .NET 6 when it's available.

This may or may not help, but you can make a copy of the terminal application and force it into Rosetta and then try and run NPVR from there. That would at least tell you if you can get NPVR running in emulation. Not sure what you'd need to do about automating startup or anything like that though.

tried what is written here but installed all current versions of dot.NET from 2.1 via 3.1 to 5.0 from the MS site.
There is a new preview version 6.0 for ARM but didn't tested with it.

That got it running on M1 Mini

I'm still planning on picking up an M1/M1x/M2 laptop, whenever the announce the rumored 14"/16" versions.

YESSSSS!  I just noticed this and tried installing all 3 dot.nets and it worked!!!! NEXTPVR IS BACK!!!  THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Hey!  I just tried the latest version which now needs 6.0 and I no longer can get it working and it won't even let me run my old install now.  Were you successful running the latest version and getting 6.0 on your M1 Mac?
