Unable to save one off recordings from Kodi

I have just updated to the latest NPVR and from Kodi epg it is now not possible to save a one off recording.
New timers are fine and one offs from the web interface are OK - just tried the NPVR Client and that's OK as well.

It must be something that changed in the nshared.dll dated 08/07/2021 16:05 as that caused the same thing to happen - reran the installer then to revert.

Logs attached - new log, opened kodi went to live TV and tried smart record on Bargain Hunt. Received Error Unable to save timer.

NPVR & Basic Kodi log attached. 

I will have to install the backup in about 5 hours time before the Remote Control owner returns

Are you sure your Kodi EPG is in sync? It would have been much better if you had sent all the logs from NextPVR, the snapshot you provided didn't go back to the overnight EPG update.

I'd suggest going to Kodi PVR setings and resetting the PVR database.

Just tried resetting the db in Kodi - no luck.

Unfortunately things have just got busy - so have replaced npvr with backup from just before update this morning and all is back working.

Only thing I can think of is the 7 minute fix in nshared.dll is causing me problems - as I didn't have the problem as I am running time-shift with 120 minutes cache setting.

Thanks for checking, I just had a chance to test and I can duplicate it.

@sub it appears you added an error check for &recording_id=0 which Kodi has provided on new one-off timers since your commit in 2016.

Success - Re-ran installer as soon as one recording finished (Had reinstalled last version) Installed the patch - and it will now save one off recordings & set new timers.

Hopefully the owner of the remote won't even notice!

Hi!

I have the same problem with Kodi not beeing able to save recordings. Tried the patch following Lao Pan's example but it did nor work for me.

- Recent Kodi Matrix and Kodi Leia (both on Raspberry-Pi / Openelec)
- Recent NPVR (Nshared.dll dated 11.07.2021)

Any ideas?

The fixed dll in the zip should be modified 12.07.2021 04:44. As noted in my other post did you update the correct NShared.dll in Program Files

Hi Martin,

I tried the NShared.dll dated 12.07.

But as i did not work I reinstalled the current NPVRSetup again.

I will give it another try with the newer NShared.dll and update you tmrw.

me again....sorry but after a good start with NextPVR things seem to come tumbling down now.

I have the same issue with the new NShared.dll (in "C:\Program Files\NextPVR" not in the "client" subdirectory) .

No possibility to save recordings from KODI.

In addition to that the EPG empties more and more each day. A manual EPG Update is finished after some seconds with no results.

I have attached logs.
