Ok I am going step by step back over this."
1. Copy SmartiePlugin.dll to the LCDSmartie plugin directory"
where is the smartielcdplugin.dll file? only see (lcdplugin.dll) in the zip file attached in gomers post?
what about the other files eg.. lcdplugin.cs ?
2. Copy GbpvrSmartieProxy.dll to the GBPVR plugin directory
can't find this file too?
4. Run the GBPVR config program to let GBPVR start the plugin.
what?, how?
also when I tried to add CommonGbpvrUtilities.dll. it say that it is older version
and are you sure you want to overwite.
but on the brite side I have got imon vfd working with smartie. I get all the other smartie rubbish on the vfd eg. cpu speed . but when I boot up I have a popup message saying can not load plugin, and "can not load plugin" on vfd

what have I missed.

OPPPS I have just worked out that I was looking in the wrong zip file. it was the smartie-imon hack one. both named "lcdplugin.zip". no wonder I was going around in circles

waaahoooo!!!! she works, now I feel so stupid.
all because of two zip files named the same
BUT i did notice that on live tv it stays on the same channel in vfd.eg C4
when you change channel

I may be missing something on this, but when I'm watching a video or movie, I get high processor load when it switches to show what the description is of the movie I'm currently watching, causing it to skip.

I'm using the Video Archive Plugin but I've tried the MyVideos plugin as well.

Also if I could make a suggestion Showing the progress of the movie/video currently being watched (either time watched or time left or both) would be good.

Sub fixed the LiveTV not updating VFD issue as from v0.94.12 onwards

What are the diffrent lines supose to show?

$dll(SmartiePlugin,1,whatever,whatever)
$dll(SmartiePlugin,2,whatever,whatever)
$dll(SmartiePlugin,3,whatever,whatever)
$dll(SmartiePlugin,4,whatever,whatever)

i know that:
1: shows GBPVR and channel names maby more?
2: shows date and time
3: shows date and time
4: shows next recording

Is any one of these lines supose to show recording status?

Im having problems with line 4, it seems to be stuck on some old recording and wount uppdate to current one..

Any way to translate to preferd language?
Im from sweden, maby some swedish chars mess something up with line 4??
Instead of a special char the vfd shows a block. but it dosent seem to hang after that because it continues after that char.

Could somebody post a link to the lcdplugin again as the current attachment results in a corrupt download

I have just successfully downloaded the LCDplugin attachment and unzipped the files without error.

No posts about the LCDPlugin for a few months - is it dead or is Gomer still developing? I find it very useful but I also get the mentioned "external exception" error on video playback (and I don't have My Videos). Cheers.
