From within the UI client I tried to update a reoccurring recording type but it would not change. I tried the using left/right arrow keys and the mouse clicking on the arrow buttons but I could not get it to change. The Roku client also has this issue. Haven't tried Knewc.

The web client works ok, it's just the UI clients.

Thanks

This was always the case with nextpvr.exe client. It has never let the user change the recording type after a recording was created. The was true in v4 or earlier versions.

In theory I could change it to behave like the web app, where it allows you to change between different recurring recording types. (ie, it wouldn't allow you to change types between one-off <-> recurring)

I guess this begs the question is NextPVR.exe effectively dead for new core UI features, it has been 3+ years since V4 had a UI change, I had to go back to 4.1.1 for a small one. You've talked about plugins but never really addressed improvements you might consider.

I'm not against making further changes to the NextPVR.exe UI.

The last 2 years have largely been about the new NextPVR backend, multi-platform etc, and the new Web UI to enable that across all these platform. The original plan was to tackly a new client as well, but that's on hold for now, while I let my preferred cross platform technologies mature a little. That means NextPVR.exe is still a main UI (along with the web app), and I'm ok with making changes in there. I have recently been experimenting with adding VOD support to it, like we have in the web front end, so that might appear in the near future.

Admittedly user's haven't really be asking for changes in the NextPVR UI, so I'm not really sure what would be a priority in there. Any changes that are made in there will flow through to remote UI clients, like nlite, the roku app, knewc etc.
