Avoid Duplicate Recordings failure

The title is fairly self-explanatory. The box is unchecked. Nextpvr has stopped recording duplicates. Posting so, if there is a problem, it can be identified, tweaked and avoided in future,

Logs don't appear to have attached. Trying again.

The zipped file as created by nextpvr is 2,049kb. Unless there is a way around this it looks like you are not getting any logs.

Just put them on somewhere like onedrive or googledrive or something, and let use know the download link.

Otherwise we've got pretty much nothing to go on.

So you're wanting it to record duplicates, but it isn't? (usually people are looking for the opposite)

I can't see any sign of the log messages in the logs which happen when it's avoiding recording duplicates. (messages like "...already got this episode")

What you'd probably need to do is update the epg, then zip up the logs and supply them, along with a brief description of shows when you think there is shows that should have been scheduled but aren't, and we can check the scheduling messages that happen at the end of the EPG update.

Are you sure these aren't just being recorded because of the rules on the recurring recording, like the channel they're on, or possibly the timeslot, or other things that might be a factory.

Video collectors tend to what to hoard save everything, but I think duplicates of the same recording or at the same time on different channels are still not scheduled. I think it only apples to checking what you already have

It's not that I want to record duplicates it is that it was successfully recording duplicates for many weeks (as I had set it up to do) and then stopped doing so with no intervention from me. I have a less than perfect reception so if I want to guarantee finishing up with a clean copy of something I have to record at least 2 showings of anything and cut them together as necessary

While I couldn't say the missing recordings were in the scheduled list they were certainly highlighted on the epg and tuners were free at the time.

Obviously I've done all of the "turning it off and on again" business since this occured so it might have righted itself, I'll see what it does after the epg update tonight and whether it starts recording again as it was previously.

A couple of things, if you unticked that setting, it woulnd't have taken effect until the next EPG update.

I did see a recording not starting in your logs because there was no available tuner, so maybe watch out for recordings happening at the same time.
