I have been using windows Media Center computer with windows 7 until recently.  I used EPG123 to update my TV guides.  I took the TV tuner card and installed it in my new Windows 10 computer.  I installed NEXTPVR version 5.2.1.  I noticed that the TV guides are limited.  Can I use EPG123 to update my TV guide on NEXTPVR , if I can, how do I do that? or do I need to switch to Schedules Direct?   I just renewed my subscription to EPG123 not that long ago.

Thank you for your help.

Doesn't epg133 use your Schedules Direct?

Martin, thank you for your responce.

I believe they get their information from schedules direct. I only have a membership with EPG123, not schedules direct

EPG123 doesn't have a subscription or fee. The username and password you use for epg123 is your SD membership username and password. So yes, you already have a membership with SD. As a side, you can use the xmltv that epg123 can create for you for NextPVR. You can also install a version of WMC that works in Win10 and continue using WMC.

Thanks @garyan2 for responding to my question. @sffire it will be much better if you use the built-in SD It will speed up EPG updates because of the caching in the JSON interface and you will getting program art from SD.

Thank you both. I recovered my password and I was able to log in on schedules direct to the TV guide. Is there a way to download TV guides for the next two or three weeks?

The number of days via the web page update default is shorter then the scheduled overnight run. You need to edit config.xml and increase this

<SchedulesDirectDays>9</SchedulesDirectDays>

Though I agree with your recommendation, I disagree with your reasoning. EPG123 caches JSON returns from SD as well as uses artwork from SD in 4 formats if available (2x3, 3x2, 4x3, and 16x9 though I don't know if NextPVR takes advantage of that). A daily update to download and create 15 days worth of guide listings for 32 stations, and create a MXF file for WMC and XMLTV file for anything takes me an average of 13 seconds.

EPG123 may be efficient, but NextPVR doesn't cache the XMLTV listing so it has to remove and readd the whole file daily, the md5 hash update process is only from the source JSON. Loading art from the XMLTV is also not as efficient as the direct download in NextPVR.

Importanly a user has to create the script to actually do the daily EPG update which not everyone is comfortable with, via NextPVR you should enter the credentials.

I noticed that I am missing one local Tv channel. Is there a way to add this channel? It's San Francisco KGO TV channel 7.
