Hi,

I am trying to fix a problem I have with some channels not being recorded
and while trying to watch them live using the web GUI, they do not work either.

Most of these channels work well when watched through the hdhomerun interface
which seems to call video VLC.

Many channels work properly when using the NextPVR 5 web GUI.

But on some channels, I can see the message at the bottom of the video
  "Receiving Data (numbers are increasing)"
Then after a few seconds the following message appear or sometimes
the screen is just black:
  "Browser blocked video playback"

One particular channel (10.1) is different.  It works well using hdhomerun but
using the NextPVR 5 web GUI for that same channel, I can see the message
at the bottom of the video:
  Starting Device.  Please Wait...
Then after a few seconds a message appear:
  Streaming Failed (transcoder exited)

What browser are you using? If firefox, make sure "allow audio and video" is selected in popup, which is shown when you select the icon next to the url

Otherwise, reproduce the problem, them post the logs and we'll take a look.

1- I have uploaded zips of the logs.   In those logs I tried 2-3 times to watch channel 10.1 and it has shown a black screen with no audio.

2- For many channels, the 'allow video/audio' seems to have solved the problem.  Thanks! Smile    I still don't understand why some channels were fine (video + audio) though.   Also I never really blocked any video/audio playback so perhaps firefox does that on its own.

Firefox does do this by default. ie, it's probably assuming it's going to be adverts or something you don't want to see.

Try 10.1 again, then post a full set of logs.

Ok. Sorry I did not want to fill your site with a large zip.

Here is a new one...

I tried 3 times to upload a zip file. It shows the 'green check' mark but after the submitting the post, it is not present...

Did not work either. Sad

So I have uploaded it here instead:

Is the file under 2MB? If not you will need to post it on an external site. Some browsers like Safari don't work. Try Firefox.

Yeah, it's probably too big. You can either put the zip file somewhere like onedrive or dropbox, or delete your existing log files then restart NextPVR and reproduce the problem and post a new set of logs (which will be smaller because it wont have your previous stuff in them)
