Recordings failing any help appreciated

Hi all,

Was wondering if anyone could help with the following error please?
On Windows 10 using NextPVR version 5.2.1.211003 (have attached logs). 


Failed: An error occurred while sending the request. Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.


This only started a couple of days ago, resulting in failed recordings.

I think it's in relation to a "Hauppauge WinTV-dualHD DVDT Tuner" which according to the NextPVR "devices" screen is now (unavailable). I can still "scan" for new channels using this device but trying to "stream" a channel results in "Failed to start requested stream".

You are having driver problem on tuner 1

Have you tried a reboot?

Hi Martin,

Thank you for your reply. I just tried rebooting but still receiving the message "Failed to start requested stream".

I had a "usb descriptor request failed" in device manager show up some days ago, so uninstalled then reinstalled some of the usb drivers. This cleared down the device manager error but I'm assuming has left a problem with this particular driver.

Would it be best to try and uninstall and reinstall the Hauppage driver again?

Many thanks for your reply again Martin. Have tried another uninstall and reinstall but unfortunately still having the same problem, will continue trying.


Apologies in advance as this is off topic, but I noticed Pluto IPTV was mentioned in another post. Is it now possible to add Pluto IPTV to NextPVR and is it a free service?

Currently I use an app to watch live Pluto TV, but it would great to be able to record Pluto TV if this is possible to watch later.

Some people use iPTV with URL's and some people use an "extra" device for Pluto that I wrote. The short guide data makes for a frustrating experience IMHO, but for movies the VOD apprach to Pluto is best.

Try searching the forum for more information.
