Linux upgrade shell script..

please check the zip file

nextpvr-update.sh installed in /opt/nextpvr/shell/

it refers to curl "http://nextpvr.com/beta/linux/NPVR.zip"

Not sure why it is getting truncated with curl?

I used a browser and was able to pull the whole zip file and then complete the upgrade.
my curl version

Try https but really there is no reason to download an obsolete beta version of NextPVR anyway. The reason it fails is you aren't following redirects with the -L

The author should adjust the source to reflect a proper upgrade path ... even if the http isn't responding well from the source. or remove the nextpvr-update.sh upgrade script ...

Sorry I understand now, I am the author of the deb installer and forgot about that script and will remove it. It was during the initial testing of the NextPVR v5 deb process and I was testing how to script automatic version updating but sub wasn't interested in adding that feature to the server.
