Running latest version of Gbpvr (94.13), with pvr250, winxp sp2, AMD64, Vinyl AC97 audio.
I have no audio in live tv, DVD play back and anything recorded new. All my old recordings and music have audio. I used to have these settings:
Video Decoder: NVIDIA video decoder
Audio Decoder: NVIDIA audio Decoder
Audio Renderer: System Default
VMR9

and it used to work. I have tried every combination of choices available and still no audio, and sometimes depending on the choices the video is real choppy.

Audio works fine outside of GBPVR including DVD's using NVDVD.
I have installed all drivers from hauppauge including the mpeg decoder, to no avail.

Any steps I might have missed?

thanks
steve

ok, so far I have removed the PVR card, uninstalled all associated hauppauge drivers and programs. cleared CMOS, put card in different slot on motherboard, reinstalled hauppauge drivers (several times) installed the latest gbpvr (94.13), uninstalled gbpvr and then reinstalled just 94.13. installed all the cole2k codecs, tried all available combinations of decoders in the gbpvr config and still no audio for live tv, new recordings and DVD's inside gbpvr. All music, previous recorded shows and dvd's (outside of gbpvr) have great audio.
The only thing I haven't done yet is reinstall the OS.

This used to work great can anyone give me some other things to try before I format the OS drive?

thanks

Ok, it's been 3 days and still no audio on anything new. I have now just completely started over, formated the harddrive and reinstalled.

Windows XP Sp2 w/ all the updates, nvDvd, gbpvr 94.13, all the newest hauppauge drivers for the 250 still no sound.

please help or just tell me to give up and stop watching so much tv.

thanks
steve

can you play an existing MPEG2 file, then post your gbpvr.exe-native.log file?
