It'll only do it if it knows it's a movie. ie, typically SD id starting with MV, or having a 'Movie' genre

So this is what I have in the database, do you also use the filesize or duration and override the genre?
Code: <Event> Martin

Do you mean when recording, or displaying in the TV Guide? (might be different - I'll have to check the specific scenario)

This is a recording but that is the cached event where the year comes from.

In the case of a recording that has already happened, the scheduled recording name has been set to include the year. This happened at the time the recording started.
ie, if you're importing this recording and you think it's a movie, it's up to you to set the scheduled recording name to include the year.

That's odd because saved movies don't have the year in the title or in the cached event title, yet the year is return in the API not the original air date. The only distinction is the I can see filename but that is not even a required.
Adding the year could screw up art lookups but they aren't working well either because I don't think NextPVR thinks it is a movie. Martin

I can now tell you're asking about <year> being returned from recording.list api. I checked the code for this, and it currently only supplies the <year> tag if the unique id starts with MV. It should probably also look for movie genre.

Sorry I thought the subject Recorded Movies was enough. Anyway looking more carefully at other movies I figured it out, since even MV was not enough, the original air date must be Jan 1.
